Does anyone know of any non-12 step organizations/support groups for children of alcoholics? I'm just not quite comfortable with the religiousness of al-anon.

I don't know how many options you have where you are for different al-anon groups. There is generally a wide range in the religious thing. Yeah, the original concept was religious-based, but that doesn't mean it has to remain that way. In fact, some al-anon groups are very specifically designed, by the leader's own views, to be for those who don't like the religious slant. That said, I never felt very comfortable with the whole format of the twelve-step groups.

Like you, I haven't really found other options, except online. There are groups like this one, some very active, on most forums, I think. Good luck, and tell us what you find, okay?
